What makes up Life?

Life is supported by a few major characteristics that apply to all living organisms ranging from single celled organisms to multicultural organisms:

Adaptations: Where an organism adapts to its environment in order to survive.

Cellular Organization: The organism has a make up of one or more cells.

Growth & Development: It grows in some way and develops new things.

Heredity: The organisms genetics is passed on to its copies or offspring.

Homeostasis:  Is where it can regulate its internal temperature so it can keep up health and functions even though   its outside conditions may be changing.

Metabolism: Is where the organism converts food into energy.
Reproduction: The organism makes a copy of itself or has sexual or asexual reproduction and produces offspring.

Responsiveness: Is any change in an organism in result to something stimulating it.
